The Good Inclination vs. The Bad Inclination

The Torah teaches that “Man was created to toil” – to work on himself. This is so that he will be able to attain whatever level of perfection is within his reach.

A person must strengthen his Good Inclination to break though the “iron curtain” that the Bad Inclination tries to build. It tries to get between him and doing the right thing.

Therefore, what does he toil for, and what should he resist? Toil to resist and overcome any environment that is in discord with the Torah’s moral standards of objective justice and uprightness.
This includes the self-environment that a person makes for himself. Will he resolve that it will be ruled by his Good Inclination? Or will he let it be ruled by his Bad Inclination?
