What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

From comments, messages and contact forms

IP (Internet Protocol) addresses of visitors to our Web site may be used to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. IP addresses may also be used to compile general demographic information. We will not attempt to identify individual users through their IP addresses. The visitor’s browser user agent string can also be collected to help spam detection.

When visitors submit comments/questions or send messages to us on the site, including through the Contact Us page and the MyBB Q&A Forum, we may collect the data shown in the Web forms, and also the visitor’s IP address to help spam detection and blocking. Individual IP addresses, or ranges of IP addresses, or types of email addresses, or user names, that are found likely to include sources of spam or bad intent may be blocked from registering for the MyBB Q&AForum.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided automatically to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Our Web site does not currently accept comments on the Web pages. The Web-form on the Contact Us page sends messages privately and only to the site administrator (who is our Executive Director).

Comments/questions may be submitted to the MyBB Q&A Forum only by Registered users, and Private Forum Messages may be sent to and from Registered users. The Q&A Forum is 100% moderated, exclusively by our Executive Director. After approval of your submitted message, your Q&A Forum user name is displayed with the message, without displaying any profile-picture/avator. Legitimate users who have trouble viewing, accessing or using the Q&A Forum should contact the site adminstrator.

Our Web site does not currently accept uploads of images or videos from visitors. Visitors to the Web site are able to download and extract any location data that is contained within image files on the Web site. All copyright notices for posted Web-page content, images and videos should be respected.

If you have a registration account for the MyBB Q&A Forum and you log in there, it will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, it will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices for an extended but temporary length of time. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for an extended but temporary length of time. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If our site plans to use cookies in the future for any other reasons, our intent will be made public.

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, etc.). Embedded content from other Web sites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other web site.

These Web sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that other Web site.

Whom we share your data with

Orders we receive for products may be filled by one of several third-party companies, and your physical mailing address that you include with your order will be supplied to that company for the purpose of mailing the product(s) you have ordered.

Other than that, we do not share your data (contact information, etc.) with anyone else, without your explicit approval for some specific purpose that you have requested or approved of in your private communications with us.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, send a message, create/use an account on our MyBB Q&A Forum, or place an order, the content and information you provide may be retained indefinitely along with its metadata — with the exception that we do not collect any financial information (such as credit card numbers).

For users that register on our MyBB Q&A Forum, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal information in their Forum profile at any time (except they cannot change a registered username). The Forum administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, sent us Web-form messages, or placed an order, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us that we have retained. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, in whole or in part. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments and submitted MyBB Forum posts may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

Your contact information and Web-form (Contact Us) messages and Web site comments are accessible only to the Executive Director, with the exceptions that (a) if you are registered for the MyBB Q&A Forum, your user profile there is also accessible to the co-administrator of the Forum, and (b) if you place an order for merchandise, your mailing address may be retained by a third-party company (if any) that handles the production and shipping of the items you order.

The above information that is retained by Ask Noah International is not stored on any personal computer or memory device.
