Thank G-d for any doctors who do their mission from G-d

The Lubavitcher Rebbe explains that the mission of doctors to heal is mandated and enabled by G-d, in the Torah.

We learn from Exodus 21:19, “and he SHALL heal” (ורפא ירפא), to pay the fee of the doctor TO heal. Doctors must not abdicate their responsibility to try in the best way to heal a sick or injured person.

From the explanation in Tur HaAroch, “Our sages derive from this wording that physicians are permitted to practice their art. We don’t adopt the attitude that if G-d wants him to recover, he will, and if not, he will die. That is, [we must not say] that it is not up to us to intervene.”
