Antecedentes del tema:

Después del Diluvio, Di-s estableció el Pacto del Arcoíris y ordenó la observancia de las Siete Leyes de Noé. Este Código Noájida estableció el contexto y el objetivo final para un mundo renovado, en el cual este pacto pudiera ser la expresión abierta y perdurable del amor de Di-s por Su creación.

El pacto tiene también un significado más profundo. Fue la promesa de Di-s de que siempre aceptaría el arrepentimiento sincero de una persona si este fuera dirigido a Él. A partir de ese momento, Di-s otorgó a la humanidad la capacidad de buscar y obtener Su perdón, asegurando con ello que la libertad del ser humano para elegir el bien incluyera también la fortaleza para superar los deseos egoístas y animalescos.

Diecisiete generaciones después, en el Monte Sinaí, Di-s enseñó los fundamentos esenciales de los preceptos de la Torá a Moisés. Dentro de ésta se encuentran los detalles del mandato divino para que todos los gentiles observen sus Siete Mandamientos Noájidas. Estos detalles, tal como Di-s los especificó a Moisés, constituyen la verdadera base del Código Noájida eterno. Esa es la parte del gentil en la Torá de Moisés, la cual es el «Árbol de la Vida» de Di-s (Proverbios 3:18).
