Dutch Noahide Community: Prohibition of Cursing G-d

Rabbi Shmuel Katz presents the Dutch Noahide Community with an amazing explanation of the commandment Not to Blaspheme G-d’s Name. In Hebrew, it’s euphemistically referred to as “Birkhat” HaShem (“Blessing G-d”), in order to avoid mentioning the forbidden speech itself.

This is one of the Seven Noahide Commandments, and it has many offshoots and moral lessons. With variations in a few details, it is also one of the Jewish mitzvot that G-d spoke in the “Ten Commandments” at Mount Sinai.
