Israelites in Ancient Egypt: a David Rohl Lecture

From the video series by the Patterns of Evidence project. This segment of the “The David Rohl Lectures” examines some of the finds made at the ancient Egyptian city of Avaris. There are claims made by many that there is no evidence of the early Israelites in Egypt. But David Rohl covers specific evidence matching the Bible’s account of Israelites from Canaan sojourning in the Egyptian Nile Delta. (This evidence dates to the time before the Exodus; they became the Jewish people at Mount Sinai.) The archaeological dating places this during the Middle Bronze Age.
