The Jewish Festival of Shavuot (Feast of Weeks) celebrates the day of G-d’s speaking the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, after which He taught Moses the Oral Torah.

Shavuot begins on 6th of Sivan, which fall in late May or early June.

In 20’18, this date falls on Sunday, May 20 (starting approximately 42 minutes after sundown on Saturday night, May 19).
