When the Messiah and the redemption come

On the most simple level, everyone who has at least a small degree of a sympathetic and empathetic heart (meaning, someone who is sensitive in the least to human suffering and who is not totally evil) looks forward to a "Messianic Era." Whatever utopia it is that the person thinks that is, the actual promise from G-d is a time when the entire world will be perfected, and a simple outcome of that state of perfection is that there will be no illness, and "neither famine or war, envy or competition for good will flow in abundance and all the delights will be freely available as dust." (Rambam, Laws of Kings 12:5) This will extend to the entire creation, as Isaiah prophesied that eventually "the wolf will dwell with the lamb" and the lion will eat grass like the ox, and they will not cause any harm.

From a higher perspective, in this state of perfection, all mankind will be united with one purpose, which is our true purpose and our reason for being created: to be close to G-d and to serve Him together as He will be openly revealed, and to know Him to the ultimate of our untapped human ability, for "the world will be filled with the knowledge of G-d as the waters cover the ocean bed." (Isaiah ch. 11)

On the contrary, life in the Messianic Era will be the greatest level of exciting intrigue. People will constantly be gaining more and deeper knowledge and understanding of G-d and the secrets of His true existence, which are totally unlimited. Every day there will be a process of advancing to new, previously unknown revelations. Every day, each person will be anticipating and anxiously awaiting the new revelations that the next day will bring. But each new revelation will not come for free - a person will have to, and will want to, work at uplifting himself to a higher spiritual level in order to be able to receive and internalize each new, higher revelation coming from G-d's Essence, which will be dwelling together with humanity in this physical world.
