Dr. Schulman,

Is it permissible to put little sticky notes in a Chumash (translation only) to mark special pesukim (eg the ones appearing in Melachim u Milchamot 8-10) or would this constitute disrespectful treatment?

Yes, that is permitted. But it's better to put the markers in the margins of the page, instead of on top of the text, if that's possible. Likewise for bookmarks - it's better if they are thin so they don't extend into the text region.
Again, that extra level of respect is not a requirement, but it's preferred.
